I earned my degree in botanical science at the University of California, Berkeley, with a specialized focus on Lawsonia inermis, commonly known as henna. Henna has a long history, its use dates back over ten thousand years ago. Many of henna's therapeutic applications have been forgotten to time and cultural deviations, leaving its temporary skin staining quality as its most memorable feature. Conversely, much of henna's more recent research is largely unknown, having yielded a wide range of uses including treatment for multiple strains of cancer, diabetes related ailments, sexually transmitted infections, along with its more traditional uses for skin aliments.
I consider myself a henna specialist, rather than a henna artist. I do not practice mehendi, or traditional henna skin art, instead, I offer natural beauty treatments and healing therapies with henna, including:
Natural Hair Coloring: Discover your natural hair color in shades of golden blonde, reds, browns and black.
Natural Fingernail and Toenail Stains: Permanent nail color in shades of copper to red, based on your own complexion.
Natural Treatment for Lice: Henna can kill lice and eggs in just one treatment, with stained hair as a result.
Relief for Athlete's Foot and other skin aliments.
Prices for henna application vary on use, amount, and strain of henna. Generally, pricing is as follows:
Full Treatment of Henna for Hair Coloring: $100 usd, 56,000 colones for up to 300 grams of henna, and $20 usd, or 11,000 colones, for each additional 100 grams of henna. A full head of long, untreated hair may require up to 500 grams of henna.

For new clients, I request a consultation to determine the best henna strain and paste preparation for your needs.
I use only the highest quality of Lawsonia inermis, lab-tested to be 100% pure and organic. I mix my henna pastes according to its use with natural oils, cassia or indigo, and juices. My henna stains provide excellent coverage for grey, bleached, or damaged hair, that will not fade or tarnish. My intention is to honor the meaning of the word 'henna,' to become queen, by crowning each client with high quality, all natural henna and services.
